beautiful breanna megan

beautiful breanna megan

this girl... i tell ya. she could wear a paper bag and still look good.

she could decorate the paper bag in neon streamers and top it with with a mexican sombrero and people would be all, ooh,  new fashion? yes please. i want a sombrero and neon streamers.

and i finally figured out, after spending a week with her, who it she she reminds me of.... PENELOPE CRUZ! or salma hayek. im still not convinced they're not the same person.

so i'm super pumped bre asked me to take her photo- she's never done modeling of any kind but she's such a natural i hardly had to do any directing. a couple weeks ago she was visiting from vegas and we had like 20 extra minutes before her plane left so we thought it would be super smart to squeeze in a quick photo shoot. so we drove to the farming area of gilbert, hopped a fence and trespassed all up in their biznizz.

then the jolly neighbor lady came over and gave us her colt. like, not as an offering or anything. to use in the photos. he was the CUTest thing ever! not super cooperative but it was like 5 hours old. you can't expect a newborn to sit up straight and smile and stop pooping. why would a colt be any different? so, heres a few shots from our first attempt at a high-fashion photo shoot... with about twenty minutes... on a super super sunny day...  at a farm... with a paper bag.

arizona shoot

california shoot

a week after our slight photoshoot fail we got the chance to re-do it with a little more time and better lighting... in so-cal. this time there was no hopping of fences and stepping in of horse manure. just beautiful beaches and harbors and luscious green vegetation... i was like a little kid in a candy shop.

and bre was aMAZing. she even stripped down to the itty bitty bikini and did some sports-illustrated-swimsuit-edition-style laying in freezing cold water!! i like my spot on this side of the camera... just saying.

the locations were so awesome tho, and the model was stunning... we had to break through a barricade of surfer guys standing around ogling to get out of there when we were done. biggest burden ever.

... i can't wait to get bre's engagement news so i can do their photos. lol... jk. but not really.

Today I ♥ San Diego Coast

today i ♥ san diego coast

... with all my ♥.

srsly.

all of it. even the long tubey artery things, they also love san diego coast.
no, like i actually want to marry it.

i can't decide if i should go by 'mrs melissa del coronado' or maybe 'melissa borys-la jolla'.... such difficult decisions i deal with.

la jolla was probably my fave. i love the quaint seaside village atmosphere there. the beach is lined with pastel colored townhouses that look good enough to eat. with a dollop of vanilla ice cream probably. after a nice little jog along the beach in my peach tennis shorts and hipster shades.

another fave is definitely coronado island...everywhere you go it smells delicious. like pasta and palm trees and unicorns. it houses the famous hotel del coronado where presidents and celebrities and important people stay. also, the naval air station.
helpful tip: they get off at 3 everyday

coronado island
... the boats in glorietta bay
...  roses in a rose garden
... lunch on the rooftop of ristorante la terrazza... aMAZing food!

... with the beautiful bre
... the beach at hotel del coronado- another amazing hotel!

balboa park
... spreckles organ pavillion: home of the world's largest outdoor pipe organ... for those of you who are into that.

... el prado, the long promenade that stretches through the awesome spanish colonial architecture of balboa park. a nice old man was playing the violin along the curb and i fell a little more in love.

...my super-awesome personal tour guide, bre. also my super-awesome and STUNning model for a day... check back later for fo-tows from her shoot. or if you are the type of person who has an immediate hate-on for anyone tall, slim and gorgeous, then maybe don't.

rancho santa fe
... we stopped in at milles fleurs, the award winning and critically acclaimed french-californian restaurant in the heart of rancho santa fe. and then we just happened to run into julien hug, the restaurant's manager who was on jillian's season of the bachelorette. yummy yummyness. also good food.

... the inn at rancho santa fe is a romantic spanish style resort where more presidents, royalty and celebs stayeach little guest cottage has its own wood-burning fire place and private patio area. oh for cute.

carlsbad
... the four seasons, aviara is a 1000 acre luxury golf resort on top of the hills overlooking agua hedionda lagoon. we cruised up, valet parked the chevy and walked around in our cut-off shorts and flip flops, not feeling a single bit out of place. everytime we passed someone in their black tie attire and event badge we would switch to our made up french-ish spanishy language that no one else understood and go on taking photos.

mission bay
... belmont park is a beachfront amusement park on mission beach. i got new sandals. that were free. bre got a hotdog on a stick. i somehow feel i got the better end of the deal.

la jolla
... we took the coast walk along la jolla cove and stopped to watch the waves crashing for a while, and i fell in love some more. yes- i like this place, in case you haven't caught on.

... met up with kale at sushi on the rock. it was good to see him... and his cupcakes :)

...SO good! from a place called cups. its the first all organic cupcakery, cupcake lounge, and full-scale teaching kitchen in the village of la jolla.

... the sweet potato fries at sushi on the rock weren't half bad either.

blacks beach
...a great end to the trip- watching the sunset on blacks beach. and other interesting things. do not google blacks beach.

...expressing my joy and enthusiasm about being on this cliff in this particular place in time.
